It is the biggest city in the USA, but it isn't the capital of the country. That is Washington. New York is one of the world's business centers and a busy port. The statue of liberty which is at the entrance of the harbour is a symbol of freedom and welcomes visitors from other countries. It has more skyscrapers than any other city in the world. There are 47 buildings more than 200 metres and three taller than 300 metres. Two of the most famous ones are the Empire Building and the Chrysler Building.
